In-Play Betting

Live Cricket Betting — Ball by Ball on h988

h988's live cricket section is the most engaging way to follow a match. Odds shift after every delivery, so sharp bettors can identify value that simply doesn't exist in the pre-match market. Imagine Karachi Kings chasing 180 and losing their opener in over 3 — suddenly the live odds on Lahore Qalandars look very attractive, and h988 will have already repriced the market before the next ball is bowled.

Our live interface displays the current over score, partnership runs, required run-rate, and fall-of-wickets history alongside the real-time odds — all in one view. No need to juggle a scoreboard tab and a betting tab. It's designed for the player who is genuinely watching the game and wants to act quickly.

Game Formats

Betting Across Every Cricket Format

Each format of cricket demands a different betting approach — and h988 tailors its markets accordingly. Understanding how the format affects the available bet types is the first step to making informed decisions on the platform.

Pakistan's players across Rawalpindi, Multan, and Peshawar are as passionate about Test cricket as they are about the PSL's flashy T20 action. h988 serves both camps with equal depth in market selection and equal speed in settlement.

T20 Format — Fast & High Variance

Twenty20 is the format most Pakistani fans watch most often, and h988 offers the deepest T20 market catalogue. PSL fixtures routinely have 40+ markets open pre-match, expanding to 60+ during live play. The fast nature of T20 — a match can swing in a single over — makes in-play betting particularly engaging. h988's odds engine reprices after every ball during T20 matches, which means live bettors get genuinely fresh value throughout the innings.

Popular T20 bet types on h988 include: match winner, first six, highest powerplay score, team total over/under, most fours in the match, and man of the match specials.

ODI Format — The Balanced Middle Ground

One-day internationals give bettors a longer window to track momentum shifts and assess pitch conditions before acting. h988 posts ODI pre-match markets up to 48 hours before first ball, with detailed innings total lines and player performance specials added closer to the toss. The DLS method is accounted for in all h988 weather-affected ODI settlements.

Test Format — The Long Game

Test cricket attracts a different kind of bettor — one who studies pitch reports, squad depth, and conditions. h988 caters to this audience with multi-day in-play markets, session betting (runs in the morning session, afternoon session, etc.), draw markets, and first innings lead specials. Test series between Pakistan and England at Multan or Karachi are always fully covered on h988.

Informed Betting

Things to Consider Before Placing a Cricket Bet

h988 encourages informed, responsible betting. These are not guarantees or tipster advice — they're factors experienced cricket bettors typically research before committing a stake. The more context you bring to a bet, the more considered your decision can be.

Always set a budget before betting and stick to it regardless of match outcomes. Never chase losses. h988's responsible gaming tools are always available in your account settings.

Pitches in Karachi play differently than those in Lahore or Multan. A flat batting surface will favor high totals and reward over bets; a green seamer will favor bowlers and draw markets. Always check the venue and recent match scores there before betting on h988.

A key batsman rested, an out-of-form all-rounder dropped — lineup announcements can shift odds significantly. h988 updates markets immediately after team sheets are confirmed, but the sharpest value often exists in the window just before official confirmation when news leaks.

Some teams simply match up well against others. Look beyond the league table — examine the last five encounters between the two sides, especially at the same venue. Pakistan's record against Australia in home T20s is very different from away Tests in Perth. Context matters.

Rain interruptions trigger the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method in limited-overs cricket. A favorite chasing 180 in 20 overs might become an underdog if rain cuts the chase to 12 overs. Check the forecast before betting on ODI and T20 matches — especially during monsoon months.

In day-night ODIs and T20s, dew in the second innings can make the ball skid on and bowlers struggle to grip. Winning the toss and electing to chase is a genuine advantage at certain venues. Some bettors wait for toss results before placing match winner bets on h988.

PSL schedules can be brutal — some franchises play three matches in five days. Key bowlers may be rested or not bowl full spells. Star batsmen coming off back-to-back high-intensity innings may lack the sharpness you expect. Monitor injury reports and workload before backing individual player markets.
